Shipping policy

At PadTech Direct, we understand that vintage electronics and collectibles are fragile and valuable. We pack every item with the care of a collector and the expertise of a technician.

1. Processing Time

  • Standard Orders: We strive to ship all orders within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday) of payment confirmation.

  • Custom/Service Orders: For 3D printed items or repair services, please allow 3–5 business days (or as specified in the product listing) for production and testing before shipment.

  • Holidays: Processing times may vary slightly during major U.S. holidays.

2. Domestic Shipping (USA)

  • Carriers: We primarily ship via USPS Ground Advantage/Priority for smaller items (Comics, TCG, Phones) and UPS Ground/FedEx for larger vintage hardware (Computers, Monitors).

  • Tracking: A tracking number will be emailed to you immediately once your label is created.

  • Signature Confirmation: To protect your purchase, orders valued over $250 (or as deemed necessary) will require a signature upon delivery.

3. International Shipping

  • Availability: We ship worldwide to select countries. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.

  • Customs & Duties: International customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and import fees levied by their country. PadTech Direct is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.

  • Value Declaration: We are required by law to declare the full purchase price of the item on customs forms. We cannot mark items as "Gifts."

4. Packaging Standards We know how rough shipping carriers can be.

  • Vintage Tech: Heavy items are double-boxed or reinforced with high-density foam/bubble wrap to prevent impact damage.

  • Collectibles: Comics and TCG cards are shipped in rigid mailers or boxes with proper stiffeners to prevent bending.

  • Sustainability: We reuse clean, high-quality packing materials when possible to reduce waste and keep your shipping costs lower.

5. Lost or Damaged Packages

  • Damaged in Transit: If your item arrives damaged, do not throw away the box or packing materials. Take clear photos of the damage and the packaging and contact us immediately at support@padtechdirect.com. We insure our packages and will assist you with the claims process.

  • Lost Packages: If your tracking shows "Delivered" but you have not received it, please check with neighbors and your local post office first. PadTech Direct is not responsible for stolen packages after confirmed delivery.

6. Combined Shipping We are happy to combine shipping! If you are buying a vintage computer and a stack of comics, the system should automatically calculate the savings. If the shipping quote looks incorrect, please contact us before you pay, and we will adjust the invoice.
